We remove panels, wiring and racking the day before or morning of your roofing job, label everything, and stage it safely. Rails are kept when they still meet current code.
Coordinate with your roofer
One scheduler on our side works directly with your roofing company and with you. Permit pulled for the solar work. We wait for the roof to pass its inspection.
Reinstall, inspect, turn it back on

Do I need a permit to remove and reinstall solar panels in Florida?
Yes. Reinstalling a PV array is permitted work in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Manatee counties. We pull the solar permit and schedule the inspection on every job, and it's included in the per-panel price.
How much does solar panel removal and reinstall cost in Tampa Bay?
$200 to $250 per panel for a shingle-to-shingle reinstall on a rail-mounted system, including the permit, all-new roof attachments, the photo report and the 25-year no-leak warranty on our penetrations. Metal, tile and rail-less systems are priced after a free site inspection.
Will my roof warranty be affected?
It can be, if the solar work is done by a company without a roofing license or if old attachments are reused in the new roof. We hold roofing, electrical and building licenses and every penetration is new and documented, so there is no question about who did the work or how.
How long are the panels off my roof?
Usually the length of the roofing job plus the inspection. Detach takes a day or less for a typical home. Reinstall is scheduled as soon as the roof passes its final inspection, and the system is tested and producing the same day.
Do you work on all solar brands?
We are certified on Tesla, Enphase, SolarEdge, Generac, Fronius, SMA and REC equipment and we work on systems from other manufacturers as well. We also take over systems whose original installer has gone out of business.

Twenty to sixty or more photos with written notes: panels staged, wiring and combiner, the line-side tap, each new attachment before the panel goes back, and the system back online. It's your proof for the roofer, your insurer, and a future buyer.
